Half Breath Battle

In developing country like Indonesia, Bronchiectasis case often is not treated in timely manner. This is story about Gilang and i could hear how this little boy breathing at time. Behind the pale skin his eyes glazed, his ribs swell. But life has not been only about breathing, there is a responsibility to make those around him keep smiling, and it’s what he did.

Gilang let me record every inch of his life before the rest of his right lung was removed, and he kept his head up, marching through the battle by breathing rather than flying away with angles. (2009)
